T.C. Cannon Lecture Series: Contemporary – From T.C. to Now

You are invited to attend the last discussion in our series for the exhibition Of God and Mortal Men: Masterworks by T.C. Cannon from the Nancy and Richard Bloch Collection.

Organized around the theme of contemporary expression witnessed decades ago and using T.C. Cannon as a model, we will revisit these themes and reflect upon how and whether this movement has evolved. Joining us in this discussion are artists, curators, and friends of T.C. Cannon:

  • Artist, T.C. Cannon classmate at IAIA and now faculty – Linda Lomahaftewa (Hopi/Choctaw)
  • Artist and IAIA alumnus – Marla Allison (Laguna)
  • Artist, former Heard Museum Lloyd Kiva New Curator of Fine Art, Current Director and CEO of Rancho Palos Verdes Art Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA – Joe Baker (Delaware)
  • Heard Museum Fine Arts Curator – Erin Joyce
