First Friday

Club Coyote – Silent Disco Dance Party!

5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Heard Museum Campus

“Dance serves as a vessel that preserves the life force, its uncertainties, and above all, it enhances awareness of one’s own existence.”

Harry Fonseca (Nisenan Maidu/Native Hawaiian/Portuguese)

The coyote is out of the bag! See the Heard Museum transformed into Club Coyote, a silent disco* club that comes around only once in a blue moon! Celebrate the opening of Harry Fonseca: Transformations by dancing the night away in the museum. From 5 pm to 9 pm, grab a pair of our special headphones and explore the museum to find other coyotes dancing through the decades. While you’re here, enter the world of Harry Fonseca with a new exhibition that situates two of his alter-egos, Coyote and Rose, against the backdrop of 1980-era San Francisco. And yes, it is perfectly fine if you let out a howl or two.

The Heard Museum will host a FREE indoor and outdoor stage on June 7 to celebrate our LGBTQ2S+ community for Arizona Pride Month. Journey through the decades as our DJ’s spin all the hits from the 70’s & 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s, and today.

All are welcome to join in on the dancing, conversation, and community at this inclusive event!

*A dance party where everyone grooves to their own wireless headphones, creating a quiet room with lots of energy.
