Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, Moondance 2025 raised $1.2 million in support of Heard Museum exhibitions, programs, and operations.
From our inspiring honorees — the lapidary artist Jesse Monongye (1952-2024, Hopi/Navajo) and Heard trustee Sharron Lewis — to the one-night-only exhibition Opal Moons & Lapis Skies and a stunning jewelry auction, it was truly a celebration to remember. We are deeply grateful for the remarkable contributions of our Moondance Committee, led by Chair Matthew Boland, whose vision and creativity transformed this year’s event as never before.

For 95 years, the Heard Museum has been one of Phoenix’s anchor cultural organizations — an icon for residents and tourists alike.

Creative Aging Workshops
Workshops, MakerSpace days and programs for adults 55+ designed to help participants develop their artistic abilities with expert instructors.

Sustaining Cultural Knowledge
Ongoing Master Artist Workshops help to sustain knowledge of traditional arts across generations.

Artist Fund
Gala proceeds help to offset the $2 million+ that the Heard invests annually in artists and cultural partners through program fees, shop acquisitions, and more.
