Give back to the Heard on Arizona Gives Day

On Tuesday, April 5, give back to your community on Arizona Gives Day. As one of Arizona’s first museums, we have helped to shape and mold our community for 86 years and counting. Last year, we began participating in First Fridays, Phoenix’s monthly celebration of the arts.

First Fridays provides visitors with free general admission to the museum. We support live local music, and we bring in some of the best new Native artists to showcase their work. We’ve hosted several fashion shows, poetry slams and a locavore food fest (twice!); in May, we will encore our popular Rockabilly Night with the Blue Bird Pinups. By participating in First Fridays, we continue to promote our mission of educating the broader public about the heritage and lifeways of Indigenous peoples of the Southwest and beyond.

Be a part of our mission by supporting us on Arizona Gives Day. Every dollar raised today will offset the expenses of our First Friday programing: the artists and performers, the hands-on activities, the local food, the maintenance of the grounds and the staff who help make the program a success. Every donation counts, be it $1 or $100 (did we mention your donation is 100% tax deductible?).
