Prepare for the Fair: Hear jewelry experts

Learn more about jewelry as you get ready for the 2016 Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market. Whether you’re dipping your toe in Native art collecting or are a seasoned buyer, these talks, offered by the Heard Museum Guild, will prove helpful. The Fair is March 5-6, 2016.

Gene Waddell is a longtime Native arts dealer and owner of Waddell Trading Co. in Scottsdale.

Dexter Cirillo is author of Southwestern Indian Jewelry (New York: Abbeville Press, 1992) and Southwestern Indian Jewelry-Crafting New Traditions (New York: Rizzoli, 2008), winner of the 2008 New Mexico Book Award for best art book.

Join Waddell, who will speak on the topic, “Turquoise” and Cirillo, whose topic is “Contemporary and Cutting-Edge Jewelry.”

This is the last lecture in the Prepare for the Fair series. Be sure to join us March 5-6 to put your new knowledge to the test at our Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market!

The Prepare for the Fair series is supported by the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation.
