Naomi Lang-Strong (Karuk Tribe of Northern California) made history in 2002 as the first Native American woman to compete in the Winter Olympics. During this special event, Naomi will share her inspiring journey and showcase her ice-skating artistry. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Naomi, take photos with her, and learn more about her Olympic experience.

Families can enjoy hands-on crafts, interactive games, live music, and museum activities throughout the day, including a dance-themed museum art search, a winter-themed inflatable bounce house, and creative projects like a colorable zine celebrating Naomi and the Olympic Winter Games. Talented young musicians from Rosie’s House music academy will also perform, adding to the festive atmosphere. After all the excitement, enjoy a refreshing prickly pear lemonade and a delicious lunch to fuel your day. Relax, refuel, and take in the atmosphere of the event!
