The Heard Museum is located on Central Avenue four blocks north of McDowell Road at Encanto Boulevard.

Museum Parking

Free, on-site parking is available for all visitors. To accommodate school and tour groups, we also have parking for busses and RVs available at no additional charge.

Light Rail Access

The Heard Museum is easily accessible via Valley Metro Light Rail. Step right off the light rail and into the museum entrance from the Encanto/Central stop.

Drop-off

Arriving by ride share? Have your ride drop-off/pick-up at our designated ride share stop in the curved area behind the museum near the Courtyard Cafe.

    The Courtyard Café is proud to serve organic and locally sourced products across a seasonally crafted Southwest-inspired menu. Enjoy freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, and our nationally recognized Posolé, which was featured in Bon Appétit magazine. Click here to view the menu.   • Coffee Cantina

    Open Monday to Sunday, 9:30 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.


    Our quick-serve café is ideal when you need a coffee or snack before continuing your day at the Heard. The cantina offers a selection of gourmet coffee drinks, smoothies, baked-in-house goodies, grab-and-go salads and wraps to enjoy on our beautiful courtyard patio or take with you to-go. Museum admission is not required to visit the Coffee Cantina.
  • Books & More (Gift Shop)

    Open Monday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.


    Books & More provides one of the largest collections of books written by and about American Indian art, culture, and history. Also, on hand are books about the Southwest and a wide selection of gifts including gift cards, T-shirts, hats, souvenirs, and children’s items. Click here to shop online.
