The multi-talented artist Joey Clift (Cowlitz) joins us for a Virtual Art Talk featuring a special preview of POW!, an animated short film that shows us what happens when your game console dies at the Intertribal Pow Wow. Moderated by Heard Museum Chief Programming & Engagement Officer Patty Talahongva (Hopi), follow along as we learn about Clift’s inspiration, creative process, and his approach to discussing tough topics through the use of humor.
About Joey Clift
Joey Clift (Cowlitz) has written for many shows and projects including Spirit Rangers on Netflix — which earned him a Peabody Award nomination — New Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network, and Molly of Denali on PBS. He also wrote and directed Gone Native, a Comedy Central digital series about the racial microaggressions Native American people often deal with. His award-winning short films have screened everywhere from Just For Laughs to The Smithsonian Museum.
