Today, the Heardlings Art Cart will focus on photography. Take home a printed photo keepsake and decorate your own frame. This hands-on activity will be facilitated by Heard Museum Engagement and Learning Programs staff. We’ll be located outside of the Samuel & Betty Kitchell Gallery, making it easy to visit Storyteller: The Photography of Jerry Jacka for inspiration.

This activity is FREE with regular admission.

All About the Heardlings Art Cart

The Heardlings Art Cart is your hub for resources and activities for families visiting the Heard Museum. Daily, the cart is located past the Admissions desk. Here, children and their caregivers can get oriented and pick up materials designed just for them, including a Family Map and Kids Activity Guide. The Heardlings Art Cart is also the place to look for exhibition-specific guides for families.

What are Heardlings?

The Heardlings is a family friendly initiative committed to engaging and educating children and their adult caregivers. Led by a welcoming animal guide — Archie the Jackrabbit (named after the museum’s iconic arches) — young museum-goers are invited to experience the new Heardlings Family Activity Room, and the Heardlings Art Cart. Additionally, families can enjoy signature events for youth audiences; a child-friendly menu at the Courtyard Café; Heardlings merchandise at Books & More; and HeardBeat, a youth and family e-newsletter.
