Final Opportunity to Explore Adorned with Memory: Jewelry from the Basha Family Collection of American Indian Art with Curator Roshii Montaño

In this 30-minute talk, Roshii Montaño (Diné) will share behind-the-scenes insights from her conversations with many of the artists featured in Adorned with Memory: Jewelry from the Basha Family Collection of American Indian Art, revealing personal stories, cultural connections, and the creative processes that shaped each piece. This is the second exhibition in a series celebrating the extraordinary Basha Collection, featuring breathtaking work by renowned Native jewelers including Duane Maktima (Laguna Pueblo/Hopi), Terry and Joe B. Reano (Santo Domingo Pueblo), Carl and Irene Clark (Diné), and Verma Nequatewa (Sonwai) (Hopi).

Each necklace, bracelet, ring, and earring on view is more than an adornment—it’s a story, a memory, and a testament to tradition and innovation. Join us for the final curator talk on this exhibition and enjoy a special opportunity to see Adorned with Memory through the eyes of the person who brought it to life.

This Curator Talk is included with regular admission and FREE for members. Tour meets at the Info Desk.
