The Heard Museum is honored that online voters nationwide named the museum one of USA TODAY‘s 10 Best Native American Experiences, the newspaper reported Friday.
In online polling with votes cast by 10Best and USA TODAY readers across the country, the Heard Museum placed seventh, one of three museums to make the list. The others were the Cherokee Heritage Center, in Park Hill, Okla., which placed third, and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, N.C., which placed fifth. Acoma Pueblo and Taos Pueblo in New Mexico placed first and second, respectively.
