This month marks thirty years since Congress declared March as National Women’s History month with a proclamation being issued every year honoring American woman and their achievements. These selections from the library collection focus on a group of women near and dear to the Heard Museum, American Indian women artists. The significant contributions to American history made by these individuals are informed by their culture, their gender and their creative spirit. All four examples are currently on display in the public reading area of the library. Please feel free to visit the library to review these or any other items of interest in the library and archives collections. For more details or additional collection information, click on the Search Catalog link located in the pull-down menu of the library tab on the Heard website.
