About the Event

The Nation’s largest gathering of Hopi katsina doll carvers of 100+ artists will show and sell their unique creations at the Katsina Doll Marketplace: A Gathering of Carvers. Enjoy musical performances, carving demonstrations, and a drawing for the signature katsina doll. Hopi carvers will show and sell their carvings in both traditional and contemporary styles. As a new or experienced collector, attend the Marketplace to meet the best established and emerging carvers.

Signature Katsina Doll

Patrons can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the 2024 signature katsina doll “Fire God” by Alex Yovella (Hopi) with a retail value of $2,800 along with a signed poster of the signature katsina doll by all attending artists. The raffle drawing will take place on the day of the event and the winner does not need to be present to win. Patrons can purchase tickets for the drawing in-store at the Heard Museum Shop or by phone at 602.252.8344 for $2 each or 6 for $10.

Best of Show

The Heard Museum Shop will have a Best of Show for the 2024 Katsina Doll Marketplace. All entries must be submitted by April 5 at 2:00 p.m. inside the Museum Shop. Winners will be announced before the marketplace.
