ADVANCING AMERICAN INDIAN ART
Plan to bring the family to Chase Field in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, June 11, to see the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Miami Marlins on Native American Recognition Day, presented by Gila River Casinos. Say hello to Shaliyah Ben, our education program and outreach manager, joined by Anseenia Shirley at our Heard Museum table on the concourse.
They will have a hands-on takeaway activity for kids and adults of all ages based on our signature exhibit, HOME: Native People in the Southwest, as well as portable panel exhibit titled, “RAIN,” about the importance of rainfall and water to Native peoples.
The first pitch is at 5:10 p.m.
