Mountains hold special significance for many American Indians for reasons as diverse as the ranges and the people who hold them dear. These four titles represent another wide range of ways to view mountains from discussing sacred places to serving as powerful metaphors. Currently on display in the public reading area of the library, mountains loom large in this month’s selections. Please feel free to visit the library to review these or any other items of interest in the library and archives collections.
