About the Exhibition
Twilight: Trading Posts & Creative Legacies traces the gradual decline of trading posts as the wider world opened up to previously isolated tribal communities. As the sun set on the trading post era, family creative legacies continued as the enduring factor behind individual artistic vision, which, today, continues to flourish in new ways. The exhibition primarily focuses on Navajo textiles, with additional examples of art related to trading posts such as pottery, jewelry, and photography.
