Prepare for the Fair: “Approaching a Fair”

Learn from the Heard Museum’s curators and staff what to look for in examining high-quality baskets, pottery, katsina dolls, jewelry and fine art. This is good preparation for your first or continuing art purchases and for your enhanced enjoyment of the 57th annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market March 7-8. Plenty of examples will be on display.

Speakers and topics:

  • 10 to 11 a.m. – Curator of Collections Diana Pardue (pottery) and the Heard Museum Shop’s Laura Cardinal

Thousands enjoyed the works of more than 600 artists and several musical and dance performers at a recent Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market. Guild members have planned and presented the event at the museum each year since 1959.
