Mother’s Day special menu items at the Courtyard Café

If you’re one of those people who (a) love their mothers but (b) might not have paid enough attention when their moms taught them about planning ahead, the Heard’s Courtyard Café has good news regarding celebrating Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 8.

We’re still taking reservations for Sunday at the Café, which will be serving some special items this Mother’s Day that will include what our chef, Irene Rutigliano, calls “The Harvey Girl Special: Little Thin Orange Pancakes!”

Our Mother’s Day meal is a tribute to the young women in white aprons who served meals at Harvey House restaurants and hotels and on board trains traveling west along the Santa Fe Railway between Chicago and Los Angeles. It’s a part of our summer-long celebration of the fascinating exhibit now on view inside the museum, Over the Edge: Fred Harvey at the Grand Canyon and the American Southwest.

Reservations are highly recommended–and still available–at 602.251.0204 (and we promise not to tell your mother when you made the call).
