“LEGO as Medium” Lecture and Booksigning

Hear as Mike Doyle, internationally-acclaimed LEGO® brick artist and author of Beautiful LEGO®, discusses how he creates art with tiny plastic bricks. After the talk, Doyle will sign copies of his book, which are available for sale in our special BUILD! pop-up shop located at the entrance to the Lincoln Gallery and the Monte Vista Room.

Here’s a description from www.michaeldoyle.com:

“Internationally acclaimed LEGO artist Mike Doyle, author of “Beautiful LEGO”, is known for his stunningly realistic, grand-scale designs.

“Contact, the majestic spiritual cityscape featured on his book’s cover, uses more than 200,000 bricks. His award-winning Abandoned House series has been showcased at Columbus Museum of Art, Gallery 1988 in L[os] A[ngeles] and now has a home in Boston’s Museum of Realist Art, where he is an inaugural member.

“When not constructing unique LEGO art, Doyle works as a graphic designer where has designed such icons as the Pepsi logo and can.

“He lives with his wife and two children in New Jersey.”
