Makerspace: Special Edition – Storytelling

Makers, crafters, and lovers of hands-on experiences—this one’s for you!

Join Heard Museum staff and guest artists for Makerspace: Special Edition, featuring open-studio, drop-in workshops inspired by the themes, materials and artwork in Meryl McMaster: Bloodline.

This month’s Makerspace focuses on storytelling through the lens of family histories and identity. After exploring the Meryl McMaster: Bloodline exhibition, you’ll have the chance to create your own stories through hands-on workshops. Instructors from South Mountain Community College’s Storytelling Institute will guide you in crafting stories that help us better understand ourselves and connect with others.

Workshop times: 10 am to 1 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

You’ll leave with a journal to continue your storytelling journey!

This program is included with regular admission and FREE for Heard Museum Members. Light refreshments will be served. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Got questions? Contact us at learning@heard.org.
