Késhjéé – Navajo Shoe Game

Step into the New Year!

Step into 2019 and enjoy a casual evening of music, culture and a Navajo winter game favorite! The Heard Museum is proud to partner with the Phoenix Indian Center to bring Késhjéé’ (Shoe Game) to the Heard Museum. In the cold winter months the Shoe Game is played in Navajo communities to strengthen communal bonds, teach Navajo philosophy through song and above all, to have fun. Come on out and learn about this important game and get involved; string games are also a favorite pastime!

This year’s Navajo Show Game occurs on Friday and Saturday, January 11th and January 12, from 6-11 p.m.

Don’t miss this event centered around bringing in the New Year with friends, family and the community!
