Educators, you are invited to an exciting event at the Heard Museum on June 12 from 2 to 5 pm!
Join us for Educator Night, an evening of professional learning and networking. This Educator Night will feature the experience of Beany John (Taino/Plains Cree) who is a Two-Spirit hoop dancer and top placing competitor. John will give a 45-minute presentation on their life and experience as a Two-Spirit individual and provide teachers with ways to engage and connect with their LGBTQ2S+ students. Guests will also enjoy a 15-minute hoop dance performance.
Educators will also be given an exclusive tour of the new Harry Fonseca: Transformations exhibition and time to explore the museum.
