Free Summer Saturday: Express Yourself

Join us at the Heard Museum on Saturday, June 22, for a day of self-expression through music, dance, poetry, fashion, movement, and art activities designed with kids in mind!

If you and your family love hands-on learning, you won’t want to miss this program at the Heard Museum. Free Summer Saturday: Express Yourself is a day of family-friendly fun at the museum.

Activities will be available all day unless otherwise noted:

  • Tie-dye socks and bandanas with natural dyes with Calandra Cook (Navajo)
  • Learn how to write poetry and spoken word
  • Enjoy a fashion show from participants of the Creative Aging class
  • Learn how to hula with Alana Segoviano (Hawaiian) and watch a hula dance performance from participants of the Creative Aging class
  • Play the Tahitian drums with Ruben Segoviano
  • Explore the inflatable obstacle course
  • Design your own collage journal
  • Learn more about efficiency and electric vehicles with SRP and Drive Electric Arizona/Valley of the Sun Electric Vehicle Association and see a few up-close!
