Free Summer Sundays

Escape the heat of summer and join us again for this annual series to enjoy free performances, artist demonstrations and more, every fourth Sunday of the summer. Admission to the museum’s galleries is free all day, so gather the whole family and come to the Heard Museum for cool fun that kids of all ages will enjoy.

Free performances, artist demonstrations, family activities and more! Admission to the museum’s galleries is free from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.*

Performances

Yellowhouse Dancers, featuring 2017 Adult Hoop Dance World Champion Tyrese Jensen and Youth Division World Champion Kailayne Jensen
Performance times: 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Artist Demonstrations

Jennifer Ben (Diné)
Diné beadwork artist Jennifer Ben will be demonstrating beadwork with examples of her own beautiful floral motifs as well as overseeing hands-on bead activities where visitors can try their hand at making a beaded necklace!
Location: Sandra Day O’Connor Gallery

Damian Charette (Crow)
Master printer Damian Charrette shares the art of woodcut printmaking. Visitors can create their own Frida and Diego-inspired woodcut print!
Location: Steele Auditorium


*Note: Admission to First Fridays and Summer Sundays does not include gate fees for the exhibition Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera. Event attendees who wish to visit this special exhibition will be charged the gate fee of $7.

Admission to the exhibition closes at 4:30 p.m. The museum remains open until 5 p.m.
