Free Summer Saturdays: MOLLY OF DENALI Comes to Arizona!
The Heard Museum is proud to partner with Arizona PBS to bring MOLLY OF DENALI to Arizona for the first time! The groundbreaking animated series is the first nationally distributed children’s show in the to feature a Native American lead character. Set in the fictional town of Qyah (KI-yah), the show is created by a group of Indigenous actors, screenwriters, producers, production teams, advisers, and even Alaska Native children, who are featured in the show’s live-action sequences.
Arizona PBS will join us at the Heard to share stories and a free MOLLY OF DENALI book for children. Bring the entire family to MEET MOLLY, create art, and explore our galleries together.
Museum and activities is FREE to everyone on August 27 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. See you there, shijyaa (my friend!)
The mission of the Heard Museum is to be the world’s preeminent museum for the presentation, interpretation and advancement of
American Indian art, emphasizing its intersection with broader artistic and cultural themes.
