*More About the Live Artist Demonstration
Experience a live art demonstration inspired by large-scale graphite portraits on canvas, now on view in Bob Haozous: A Retrospective View. Jay Begaye, an award-winning Navajo singer, artist, and horseman, leads clinics on the cultural importance of horses in Navajo life through drawing and song, continuing a tradition passed down from his mother and uncle. Through his work, he inspires younger generations to honor their heritage and remember the sacred connection between horses and Native identity.
