Celebrate the merging of creative forces in the desert at this First Friday.
Enjoy a fashion show featuring OXDX Clothing and the House of Darylene, with a special hoop dance performance by Kevin Dakota Duncan.
The night will include live mixing and spinning by world-renowned DJ Element throughout the evening.
Catch a special performance by poet Tanaya Winder, author of Words Like Love, who will be accompanied by musician Keith Secola from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., concluding with a book signing.
See the work of Hopi katsina doll carver Ryon Polequaptewa in the Shop from 6 to 8 p.m.
From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., you’ll get a special sneak peek of the exhibit Confluence: Inter-generational Collaborations.
The exhibit opens to the public on Saturday, Feb. 6.
First Friday trolleys pick up and drop off passengers at the Heard Museum along its route through central Phoenix on every First Friday except March. The Heard is one of five hubs along the approximately five-mile route. Trolleys stop at each hub about every 20 minutes each First Friday from 6 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m. Here is a map of the trolley route.
