Join us for Drive & Shine, a FREE car-themed celebration filled with creativity, culture, and community. Check out cool cars and bikes on display, enjoy hands-on activities, meet car clubs and enthusiasts, and take part in an in-gallery art search featuring works from HOME: Native People in the Southwest, Storyteller: The Photography of Jerry Jacka, and Bob Haozous: A Retrospective View. Plus, enjoy free museum admission all day!

Check out amazing custom cars and bikes on display and meet local car clubs and enthusiasts! Featured guests include:
– Dr. Mark Saperstein with his 1970 Citroën 2CV “Pembleton” kit car
– Ladies First Car Club & Lil’ Ladies Lowrider Bike Club, an all-female, Arizona-based lowrider car and bike club
– Sophisticated Few Car Club, a family-founded club from South Phoenix, active since 1974, known for custom lowriders, classic builds, and deep roots in community involvement

Art on the Move: In-Gallery Quest

All Day | Pick up your worksheet at the Heardlings Art Cart in the Crossroads Gallery

Set off on a self-guided art adventure through the galleries! Follow numbered signs to discover artworks inspired by cars, wheels, and transportation. Write down the artist’s name for each artwork you find. Once you’ve completed the search, return your worksheet to the Art Cart to receive a free Heardlings bumper sticker! (While supplies last.)

Watch legendary car artist Efrain “Bugs” Gonzales bring his signature style to life in a live pinstriping demo! Known for designing the Phoenix Suns’ iconic El Valle lowrider, Bugs has been a celebrated figure in the lowrider scene since 1987.
