Best of Show / Juried Competition
The excitement commences at our Best of Show Juried Competition awards ceremony, where gifted creators receive recognition that resonates throughout the art world. Over 600 exquisite examples of Native art undergo evaluation to receive the prestigious Best of Show award.

Youth Art Show & Sale
At the Youth Art Show & Sale, young Native artists in grades 7-12 have their work professionally judged, competing for ribbons and over $10,000 in prize money. All artwork entered is displayed and available for sale in the Monte Vista Room.
Fair Family Fun Zone
Play games, make art, watch live performances, and bounce to your heart’s content at the Fair Family Fun Zone all weekend long! Admission is included with your ticket — and Sunday, children under 12 get in FREE.
Local Food Vendors
From delicious Fry Bread to sweet and salty Kettle Corn, grab a snack from one of the many local food vendors or check out the Heard’s Courtyard Café. The Coffee Cantina will also be open so you can refuel for all the fair fun!
Yes, tickets are available to purchase at the gate. Please Note: The Indian Fair & Market closes on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

General public entry time is 9:30 a.m. on both days of the event.
Members can enjoy an early-bird entry starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday only. Sunday entry begins at 9:30 a.m. for everyone.

The Heard Museum maintains clear guidelines for personal, editorial, and commercial photography and filming.
To uphold artist agreements, participant privacy, cultural responsibility, and safety, the Heard Museum reserves the right to restrict or limit photography or filming at any time, in any area of the museum or during special events. Guests are expected to follow staff direction at all times.

Yes, you are encouraged to bring fold-up chairs, blankets, hats, sunblock, sunglasses, visors.
Food, Beverage, Alcohol Restrictions
No outside food or drink is permitted, except for water bottles. This event has many outside food vendors as well as our Courtyard Café and Coffee Cantina. No outside alcohol is permitted.
Bags
We do not allow cooler bags inside this event. Inside the museum, normal bag policies apply.
Pets and service animals
Only Service Animals will be allowed and must be leashed or tethered accordingly. Comfort animals not permitted.
Firearms and weapons
No weapons, any time, inside or outside permitted.
Smoking policy
Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) are not permitted in the Museum, nor within 20 feet of the front entrance. Only allowed in designated smoking areas.
Prohibited Items
Illegal Drugs or Substances, Skateboards, Segways, Scooter, Rollerblades, bicycles, Hoverboards, and helmets. No coolers, ice chests, or pointed-Tip Umbrellas, Patrons without Shoes or Shirt.
Drone restrictions
It is illegal to fly a drone during this event.
ADA Parking
During the event, there are designated ADA parking spots available at the southwest corner of Central Ave. and Encanto Blvd.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
ASL Interpretors
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available at the Ask Me station near the East entrance. A limited number of interpreters will also be available for guests visiting artist booths or other event activities. Questions? Email [email protected].
