Educator Open House

Come learn about the Heard Museum’s resources for K–12 educators and enjoy a demonstration of basket-making traditions with artist August Wood from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. See how traditional techniques are used to weave natural desert materials into intricate baskets, and make a coiled basket that you can create with your students! The first 35 people to check into event on Oct 12. will have an opportunity to make a coiled basket with materials that can be used with K-12 students!

Professional development certificates provided. Must be a K–12 educator to attend. Space is limited!
