Educators, you are invited to a virtual event with the Heard Museum on March 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for K-12 Educator Night!
Join us for an evening of professional learning and classroom resources supporting instruction about American Indian Boarding Schools.
The evening will also provide a presentation from the Heard Museum Engagement and Learning Programs team about downloadable classroom resources.
Educators who attend will receive 1 pass to visit the museum and see Away from Home: American Indian Boarding School Stories in person.
The program will be presented via Zoom. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Patty Talahongva (Hopi) is a journalist with 45+ years of experience, the first Native American anchor of a national news program, and a mentor for the International Women’s Media Foundation. Patty is currently writing a book about her family’s experience at the Phoenix Indian School with over 75 of her relatives being boarding school survivors.
