Learn the art of printmaking amongst a community of peers and master printmaker Jake Meders (Mechoopda/Maidu)
Join us for a hands-on printmaking class designed especially for students aged 55 and up! Whether you’re looking to explore a new artistic hobby, reconnect with your creative side, or simply enjoy a fun and social experience, printmaking offers an accessible and rewarding way to express yourself. No experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity, and we will provide the tools and guidance to help you create your very own unique prints!
Jacob A. Meders (Mechoopda/Maidu), MFA, is an Associate Professor in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Science at Arizona State University. Jacob possesses a BFA in painting with a minor in printmaking from Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA in printmaking at Arizona State University. In 2011 Jacob established WarBird Press, a fine art printmaking studio that he operates as the Master Printmaker in Phoenix, AZ.
This course is free, with limited space available. Please note that the class is open to adults ages 55+. Students must be able to attend all class sessions. Classes take place in 4 sessions (Oct 25, Nov 1, 8, and 15)
