Get creative and enjoy a hands-on experience in this FREE 4-day workshop where you’ll learn how to sew a Bucket Hat. This workshop is for adults 55 and better! Inspired by the Heard Museum’s Blue Bird exhibition, participants will learn sewing techniques, experiment with patterns, and craft a personalized bucket hat—all while having fun in a relaxed, encouraging setting.

Led by Kiara Reid, Diné and French-Canadian teaching artist from the Navajo Nation. Her artwork draws from both traditional and contemporary practices. She shares her knowledge through workshops across Turtle Island, inspiring others to explore their creative potential.

What is Creative Aging?

Creative Aging programs at the Heard Museum are designed to help participants (55+) develop their artistic abilities through intentional, step-by-step instruction. These activities provide opportunities for meaningful connection and interaction with others while learning a new medium and working on your own creation. They are led by professional teaching artists and encourage community engagement alongside other creative minds. Register for our next Creative Aging event today!
