Join Us for a FREE Hands-On Workshop Where Fabric Meets Inspiration
Stitch, style, and story come together in this Creative Aging four-day workshop inspired by the Heard Museum’s Blue Bird exhibition. Participants ages 55+ are invited to design and create their own apron—perfect for cooking, crafting, or simply showing off your creativity.
You’ll gain step-by-step guidance in a welcoming space to share stories and skills with fellow creatives.
No sewing experience needed—beginners and advanced sewers are all welcome.
Led by Kiara Reid, Diné and French-Canadian teaching artist from the Navajo Nation. Her artwork draws from both traditional and contemporary practices. She shares her knowledge through workshops across Turtle Island, inspiring others to explore their creative potential.

What is Creative Aging?
Creative Aging programs at the Heard Museum are designed to help participants (55+) develop their artistic abilities through intentional, step-by-step instruction. These activities provide opportunities for meaningful connection and interaction with others while learning a new medium and working on your own creation. They are led by professional teaching artists and encourage community engagement alongside other creative minds. Register for our next Creative Aging event today!
