Learn how to create your own comic book during “Create-a-Comic Workshop!” These workshops, held monthly through August and sponsored by the Heard and the Phoenix Public Library, will show participants the how-tos, comic terminology, creating storyboards and sequential art, plus other aspects of how graphic artists produce their work. Instructor Kelly Pearson, Youth Services Department Assistant Manager at the Phoenix Public Library, will use trivia to discuss how to create sequential art focusing on chronology and storyboards. The workshop won’t focus on drawing but learning the dynamic anatomy of a comic page. The first workshop is June 20, so sign up soon to reserve your seat. It’s free!
This workshop is best for aspiring comic artists ages 9-14.
Presented in partnership with Phoenix Public Library. Workshop will be held at the Heard Museum.
Free but registration is required as space is limited. Museum admission additional. Email dbegay@heard.org to register.
