Bonanza Educational has partnered with the Heard Museum to provide a one-of-a-kind summer program for children ages 7-13 with four components of fun based on the exhibit BUILD! Toy Brick Art at the Heard.
The one-week day camp will be offered four times in June. Each session is the same. Each will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
General Building Activities: General building activities practice creativity, communication and collaboration concepts with such projects as building towers, race cars, bridges and other projects.
Stop-Motion Animation: Students will learn the art of storytelling and stop motion animation as they create 20- to 60-second short movies using stop-motion animation techniques.
Museum Tour: Museum staff will share the treasures of the Heard Museum and provide inspiration for further building projects.
Art Expression with LEGO® bricks as Media: Instructors will introduce basic art concepts and encourage individual expression with building projects.
