Be a Summer Action Hero – Free Admission August 7

The Heard Museum and the St. Vincent de Paul Society are teaming up to battle hunger in the Valley to support the “Be a Summer Action Hero” campaign, which addresses child hunger during the hot summer months. You can become a “Summer Action Hero” and help fill those emergency food boxes while receiving free admission to the Heard. During our regular admission hours, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, bring in 10 non-perishable food items* per person to the Heard’s east entrance and receive free admission, which also includes admission to our super exhibit Super Heroes: Art! Action! Adventure! (up to $23 value).

*Non-perishable items could include canned food; boxes of cereal, oatmeal or dish mix like macaroni and cheese; dried beans or other legumes; canned meats; or other such food items that do not require refrigeration or freezing.

Between 6 and 10 p.m., celebrate “Hot Summer Nights” during our First Friday evening and receive free admission to Super Heroes with five food items (Super Heroes admission is normally subject to a $5-per-person gate fee).
