Barbara Mills, UA anthropology professor, to speak to March Guild meeting

If you’ve ever thought about joining the Heard Museum Guild, the museum’s dedicated corps of volunteers, a general membership meeting is held on the third Wednesday of each month from September to April, except December. After a social from 9:30 to 10 a.m., a featured speaker takes the lectern from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a business meeting from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Come and meet some of the people whose time, talent and energy are indispensable to making the Heard such a special place.

In March, Barbara Mills (right), professor of anthropology at the University of Arizona, is the featured speaker. Barbara will lecture on the Chaco network and its relationship to other groups, including Zuni, Hopi and Ute, and how each people developed its religion and customs. Anyone interested in information on membership in the Heard Museum Guild, the museum’s dedicated corps of volunteers, is welcome. In the Steele Auditorium.
