Celebrate Hispanic Culture at the Valley’s Only Spanish Market
Saturday and Sunday, November 14 & 15
Artwork by more than 75 Hispanic artists from Arizona and New Mexico is available at this festive, casual and friendly annual marketplace.
The 8th Annual Spanish Market is a free event and is presented by SRP.
This year’s featured artist is Ruben Galicia, originally from Mexico City. Galicia has been living in Phoenix since 1987 and only began painting in 1998. Since that time his work has been showcased at the Lo Nuestro Gallery, the Paulina Mill Gallery, the Arizona State University Museum of Anthropology and the San Marcos Gallery.

With art priced from under $10 to more than $1,000, Spanish Market offers a wide selection of work from different Hispanic santos, retablos, pottery, colcha embroidery, furniture making, painting, printmaking and silver and tinwork.
MUSIC, DANCING, ENTERTAINMENT, DINING & MORE:
Daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mariachi music will entertain
visitors amidst the Heard’s Spanish Colonial style architecture and outdoor courtyards. In addition to the strolling mariachi musicians, folklorico dance performances and cultural presentations by Primavera Dance will happen at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Steele auditorium each day.
Special films about hispanic heratige will be screened each day at 12:30 p.m. Also, don't miss a tented ofrenda where you can make
a flower and leave a note for a loved one.
The Café at the Heard Museum Phoenix will offer a menu of festive and traditional foods.
