First Friday trolleys will now stop at the Heard Museum, starting Nov. 6

November 5, 2015

The First Friday trolleys will be dropping off and picking up passengers at the Heard Museum starting Friday, Nov. 6, and on First Fridays from now on.

The trolleys, hosted by Artlink Inc. and operated by Dunn Transportation, formerly only stopped as far north as the Phoenix Art Museum. A hub at the Heard was added to accommodate additional visitors to the central core of downtown Phoenix on First Fridays, whose numbers continue to grow steadily.

Trolleys will run counterclockwise on an approximately eight-mile route through central core arts districts approximately every 20 minutes between 6 and 10 p.m. each First Friday. Please board a trolley no later than 9:30 p.m. to return to the Heard. Visitors who park their vehicles in the Heard lots to board a trolley must return to the museum to claim their vehicles no later than 10:30 p.m., when gates to the lots will be closed.

With the addition of the Heard, the route now has five hubs. The other four are: Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central Ave.; Oasis on Grand, 15th and Grand aves.; CityScape, 1 E. Washington St.; Arizona Center (400 E. Van Buren St.). Here’s a map and details of the trolley route.

The Heard hosts First Friday art and culture events at the museum each First Friday of the month except March. Here’s more information on upcoming First Fridays at the Heard.
