Online Silent Auction

Bid from anywhere, at any time on your mobile phone. Join the fun and encourage friendly competition with your family and friends for fabulous items donated by our Fair artists and friends of the Heard Museum!

Registration for the silent auction is FAST and EASY! Go to and click on register. You’ll be asked for simple information such as name, cell phone number, email, mailing address. You’ll also be required to enter a credit card, but nothing will be charged unless you are the highest bidder when the auction closes on Saturday, March 3 and even then, you will have to authorize the charge before the transaction is completed.

After you register you will get a welcome text message and then there are two ways to bid:

  1. By Text - Text the 3-digit item number and amount to the welcome message you receive, (e.g., 101 500) no dollar signs or decimals are needed.
  2. By Smartphone - Click the link in your registration text.  It will take you to a personal bidding page.  Click on an item and place a bid, it’s that simple.

Prepare to be tempted! On the auction website, click on an item to see a full description including sizes, materials, and artist booth numbers, as applicable.  Each item has a starting bid price and a price for incremental increases as bidding grows increasingly competitive. You’ll be able to check the bidding on your phone and can easily update your offer so you don’t miss out on a “must-have” treasure!

Additionally, items will be on view throughout the Best of Show event on Friday evening, March 2 and all day Saturday, March 3 in the south pre-function corridor of the Heard Museum’s Steele Auditorium. Volunteers will be on hand to help. At the close of the auction at 9 p.m. on Saturday night, winners will receive a text message with instructions to confirm and authorize payment for the winning item. Winners will receive free admission to the Fair on Sunday to pick up winning items in Steele Auditorium pre-function or arrangements can be made to have items packed and shipped at an additional cost.

Remember too that monetary donations are welcome and can be made by clicking the “donation” button on the auction website.

Proceeds of the auction support the mission and programs of the Heard Museum.
